MARSHALL COUNTY, KY - The Marshall County Rescue Squad has several new additions aimed at providing you with better service in case of an emergency.
The squad recently purchased a new rescue boat for $64,000. The money comes in the form of a grant from the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security. The boat is 24 feet long and has an enclosed cabin which is insulated and heated during cold weather response.
The boat will be outfitted with the Towfish Sea Scan Sonar which costs roughly $40,000. That money was raised by a combination of donations from area Wal-Mart stores and Kentucky Chapters of Woodmen of the World.
The squad also has a new vehicle, a truck, which will transport the boat and was purchased using money obtained by recent fundraisers.

I know RFFD is having to sell off theirs but there is still a need for it.Will there be time for Marshall County or McCracken EMS to respond or will they have to use local commercial vessels to get the job done?

Why buy one? Just borrow Reidlands million dollar boat. I heard it's gold plated on the inside!
