Man with Calloway County drug conviction indicted by Federal Grand Jury

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - A federal grand jury returned an Indictment on March 3, 2010, against Spencer Alan Parrish, age 27, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, on charges of possessing with the intent to distribute marijuana, possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and being a felon in possession of a firearm, Candace G. Hill, United States Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky, and Paul Vido, Special Agent in Charge of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Louisville Field Division, jointly announced today.

The Indictment alleges that on or about February 8, 2010, Parrish possessed with the intent to distribute marijuana. The Indictment also charges that Parrish possessed a firearm in furtherance of that drug trafficking crime as well as the fact that he possessed the firearm after having been convicted of a prior drug trafficking felony. The earlier conviction occurred in Calloway County, Kentucky.
