OBION COUNTY, Tenn.- As Natalie and Karl Huebner flip through the photo album for their daughter, they smile, but ti tool a lot of tears to get them to where they are today.

In June 2011 the couple found out they were expecting their first child. In October, they learned she was a little girl, but they also learned there were some problems.

"Basically her whole little body was just not going to work in any way," said Natalie. Officially, their baby had Triploidy Syndrome, a chromosomal abnormality meaning she had three copies of a chromosome instead of two. Doctors told them she would not be born alive, but weren't able to tell them how long her little heart would beat.

"You're clinging to whatever hope you can find, but you're going to lose your daughter and there's nothing you can do about it," said Karl.

For 6 excruciating weeks Natalie and Karl went to the doctor hoping to hear a heartbeat. At 26 weeks into the pregnancy, 2 days before Thanksgiving last year, it stopped.

Natalie and Karl names her Aimee Joy. They had picked out the name from a book Karl's mother gave them. In it, Aimee meant "beloved" and "serene spirit." Joy, for the happiness her parents felt even though they never got to bring her home.

They agree it was hard at the time to hear friends and family tell then that God works in mysterious ways, but now a year later they finally understand.

Because little Aimee won't be getting presents this year, her parents suggested their friends and family take time on her birthday to do something nice for someone else, to pay it forward. That suggestion was spread and now hundreds of people have committed on facebook to participate.

It can be any act, big or small, the only requirement is you post something on the facebook page so the Huebners can see. Their hope is to spread a little bit of the happiness they got from Amiee Joy.

"This little girl weighed less than a pound and now there's more than 500 people invited to do something for someone else on that day," said Karl. "That's pretty awesome when you think about it."  
Natalie agrees. "It's better to try to have something to be thankful for. We're thankful for Aimee."
