PADUCAH - An area bank issued an important warning to take a closer look at your bank accounts, informing customers of a security breach.

Community Financial Services Bank recently sent out a letter saying Visa contacted them because a hacker in Miami accessed some unauthorized customer information.

The information was stolen from a merchant, not from CFSB or Visa.

Only 244 customers were sent letters.  If you are a CFSB customer and did not receive a letter, your information is not at risk.

CFSB warned the breach may increase your risk for debit card fraud but said there have been no reports of fraudulent activity yet.

CFSB recommends you check your account activity immediately and contact them if you notice anything unusual.
