Bus carrying Murray State women's track team crashes in southern Indiana

PIKE COUNTY, Ind. - A bus carrying members of Murray State's women's track team overturned on Interstate 69 in Pike County, Indiana this morning.

The crash was said to be caused by ice on the road.

Four student athletes were transported to a hospital in Jasper, Indiana with minor injuries. Their names have not been released. The four injured students were 21-year-old Katie Forsehy, 19-year-old Tonia Pratt, 20-year-old Abbie Oliver and 23-year-old T.J. Wirth.

The driver and coach, 33-year-old Jennifer Severns, was not injured.

A group of about 10 teammates and coaches was on its way to Bloomington, Indiana for track meet at Indiana University this afternoon.

The team hopes to finish the trip to Bloomington to participate in the track meet.
