Calloway County man charged with murder

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. - James Paul Cook, 55, is behind bars after deputies say he ran over 37-year-old Desiree Moore two times.

The incident occurred around 10:30 Thursday night at 1029 Wildcat Drive.

Cook and Moore were in a blue Ford van when, according to investigators, the pair got into an argument.

Moore then exited the van, and that's when deputies say Cook ran Moore over two separate times.

Moore was pronounced dead at Murray Calloway County Hospital.

Cook is in the Calloway County Jail and is charged with murder, DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
