It's not very often that a college athlete breaks a school record, so when it happens, it's a big deal.  And when two people from the same school break a record in the same day, it's unheard of.  Especially when they break the same exact record, on the same exact day. But it happened Saturday, for Murray State's Isaiah Canaan and Mariah Robinson.

Both became the school's all-time leader in three-point shots made. Canaan's record breaker came on his first three of the day against Southeast Missouri State, surpassing Frank Allen's previous mark of 251 in his career, Canaan now has 254.

Meanwhile, Robinson set the women's record on her third three of the game against UT Martin, breaking former teammate Amber Guffey's record of 210, set back in 2009.  Robinson now has 212.

"To be the all-time leading three-point shooter at a great university, a great university, with great people that came through here, great players, you got to feel good about that," admitted Canaan. "Just knowing that your name will be there for a while, and hopefully somebody will come along one day and reach it. Without my teammates there pushing me to make those shots, and coaches telling us to work on them, I couldn't do it without them."

"I give this to my teammates over the three and a half years that I've been here," said Robinson. "It's a blessing, and I didn't even know it was coming. They told me, and I was like 'oh really, who knew, not me,' so I'm just blessed."
