Couple takes the stage at the Local 6 Talent Search Call Backs

METROPOLIS, IL—Give it what you got!  Out of 104 contestants, 20 were asked back today for the Local 6 Talent Search at Harrah's Metropolis Riverfront Event Center.

Last night Richie Lindsey and Sammy Jo Johnson got they call they had been waiting for.  The Local 6 Talent Search judges inviting the couple of seven years back for round two.

"He talked to them most of the time so he had to relay everything to me. It was exciting to get the call back because we didn't know if we would or not," said Johnson.

Johnson and Lindsey met through music and said this is their one chance to give it their best shot.

"We've been playing together for four years, we are going to do Seven Bridges Road today, of course it's a capella, which is a little different for us, but I think we can try
it anyway," said Johnson.

Taking chances to wow the judges, the dynamic duo said this is an opportunity of a lifetime.

"Get our name out there a little more and hopefully we can make it, just go as far as we can. if it doesn't, we'll just keep doing what we do," said Johnson.

Doing what they love, together.

"It's not just a thing on the side for us. It's not what we do, it's who we are so we just do what we love," said Johnson.

The top four singers will be guaranteed an audition for NBC's The Voice.
