CARBONDALE, Ill. - Voters in one southern Illinois congressional district will get to see three candidates for the seat go toe to toe tonight.

A 12th Congressional District debate will be held tonight in Carbondale between Republican Jason Plummer, Democrat Bill Enyart and the Green Party's Paula Bradshaw.

The candidates want Jerry Costello's seat. Costello is retiring.

The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Southern Illinois University's campus and will be aired on WSIU-TV.

Two other debates are planned - one September 20 in Marion, the other October 3 in Belleville.
