SIKESTON, Mo. - An 18-month law enforcement investigation led to at least 31 drug-related arrests in southeast Missouri. 

Officers on Wednesday fanned out with 60 indictments, starting in Sikeston in Scott County but reaching as far north as Cape Girardeau and south to Blytheville, AR. 

Sikeston Public Safety Director Drew Juden says Wednesday's effort was a joint investigation between local, state and federal officials of drug distribution in southeast Missouri. 

Juden says when the officers were done, 31 people had been taken into custody.

Chief Juden commented saying, “These long term investigations can be demanding. The effort put forth by each of these investigators is a compliment to their individual agencies.”

The drug distribution allegedly took place between October 2009 and August 2011.

 

Those arrested include:

Anthony Blacksher: (30 of Sikeston) 6 counts of Possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.  Bond was set at 25,000 cash only.

Carlos Jones:  (33 of Sikeston) Possession of a controlled substance and Possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.  Bond was set at 5,000 cash only.

Catina Daniels:  (38 of Haywood City) Possession of a controlled substance and Possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.  Bond was set at 10,000 cash only.

David Lee Banks: (30 of Sikeston) 3 counts of Possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.  Bond was set at 10,000 cash only.

Edith Faye Otterstrom:  (43 of Sikeston) 5 counts of Possession of a controlled substance.  Bond was set at 10,000 cash only.

Jeffery Collins: (33 of Sikeston) – 2 counts of Possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance. Bond was set at 10,000 cash only.  

Jerome Harris: (47 of Oran) 2 counts of Possession of a controlled substance. Bond set at 5,000 cash only.  

Jerry Dean Blacksmon:  (54 of Sikeston) 2 counts of Possession of a controlled substance and Possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance. Bond set at 10,000 cash only.  

John Albert Alexander Jr: (47 of Sikeston) 2 counts of Possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at 5,000 cash only.  

Lynell Lee Williams:  (47 of Sikeston) 2 counts of Possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at 5,000 cash only.  

Mary Baker: (54 of Sikeston) 2 counts of Possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance. Bond was set at10,000 cash only.  

Mary Lee Hamilton: (56 of Sikeston) Possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at 5,000 cash only.  

Maurice Lynn Steward:  (45 of Sikeston) Possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance. Bond was set at 5,000 cash only.  

Meloney Shanna Hundley:  (28 of Sikeston) Possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance. Bond was set at 10,000 cash only.

Mose Wheeler: (49 of Haywood City) Possession of a controlled substance and Possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.  Bond was set at 10,000 cash only.  

Scott Andrew Stone: (43 of Sikeston) 3 counts of Possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.  Bond was set at 10,000 cash only.  

Stanley T. Perkins: (57 of Sikeston) 2 counts of Possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.  Bond was set at 5,000 cash only.  

Thomasa Shannel King: (29 of Sikeston) Possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.  Bond was set at 5,000 cash only.  

Vashon Lamonte Rivers:  (26 of Charleston) Possession of a controlled substance.  Bond was set at 5,000 cash only.

Walter Lee Rainey:  (58 of Sikeston) 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance.  Bond was set at 5,000 cash only.

Walter William Brookins:  (66 of Sikeston) 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance.  Bond was set at 5,000 cash only.

Maurice Evan Newman:  (25 of Sikeston and was in Dept of Corrections at the time of this round up) Possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at 5,000 cash only.  

Jermain Anton White:  (28 of Sikeston and was in Dept of Corrections at the time of this round up) Possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.  Bond was set at 5,000 cash only.
