PADUCAH - A Paducah man has been arrested and charged with numerous drug offenses following a drug investigation.

The investigation began after detectives received information suggesting illegal drug activity was happening at 1205 Markham Avenue in Paducah.

The resident, 61 year-old Paul Lamb, was arrested following a traffic stop earlier on Wednesday. During the stop, a deputy seized marijuana, hydrocodone, and percocet that was packaged for sale. In addition to the drugs, deputies also seized an undisclosed amount of money believed to be proceeds of illegal drug sales.

Detectives executed a search warrant on Lamb's home later in the evening and discovered six pounds of marijuana packaged for sale, digital scales, percocet, hydrocodone and additional controlled substances. Two loaded handguns were also seized from the home.

The investigation revealed Lamb had a lengthy criminal history including convictions of manslaughter, drug trafficking, and being a persistent felony offender. He is being lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
