You may love your morning cup of joe from Dunkin' Donuts and even think it's the best around.  Even the coffee chain claims to have the "Best Coffee in America," but the U.S. Patent and Trademark office disagrees.

They've rejected the Massachusetts-based coffee chain's petition to trademark the phrase "Best Coffee in America."  They ruled the slogan was not "distinctive enough to qualify for protection."

Dunkin' Donuts says it's considering its next steps, including whether to appeal the trademark ruling.

The coffee chain has 2,600 stores around the world and sells 1.5 billion cups of coffee a year.
