Missing man on Ohio River identified

BALLARD COUNTY, Ky. - Anita Bugg with Ballard County Emergency Management has confirmed the identity of the missing man on the Ohio River as 43-year-old Robert Goins of Villa Ridge, Illinois.

Goins disappeared from a boat that was found on the river around 5 p.m. yesterday.

Ballard County Emergency Management says crews are doing a sweep and search after they found a boat without anyone on board on the Ohio River.

Anita Bugg says crews found the boat around 5 p.m. yesterday in the Barlow community by the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Department.

Several units from Ballard County and from Illinois are on the scene.
