Father accidentally kills 2-year-old daughter

HICKORY, Ky. - A two-year-old Graves County girl was killed Tuesday morning when her father accidentally ran over her with his truck.

According to Graves County Coroner Phillip McClain, Jennifer Stuzman of Hickory was pronounced dead just after 10:12 a.m. Tuesday at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield. McClain said the cause of death was blunt force injuries.

Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon said the accident happened at around 10 a.m. at the family’s home on Westbrook Road. Stuzman was apparently running to meet her father who was pulling his truck into the driveway. Stuzman was struck and killed when he did not see her cross in front of the truck.

The Graves County Sheriff’s Office and the Graves County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate.
