Five arrested in Missouri hotel on drug and fraud charges

SCOTT COUNTY, Mo. - A call to the Miner Police Department in reference to a property damage incident led to five people being arrested on marijuana, methamphetamine, and fraud charges.

Officers were called to a room at the Motel 6 on 110 South Interstate Drive in Miner, Missouri on January 9th. While the officer was investigating the complaint, several items of drug paraphernalia, marijuana, and meth were found inside of the hotel room. Tyler Hardin and Jessica Frazier of Dexter, Missouri were arrested and charged with drug-related charges including possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

Police officers returned to the same location later that evening to serve an arrest warrant. Three suspects were located with active warrants and arrested. Tony Poyner of Sikeston, Missouri was arrested for theft and passing bad checks in two Missouri counties.

Richard Freeze and Cynthia Freeze, both of Holly Springs, Missouri, were arrested for fraud out of Olive Branch, Mississippi.

Another suspect, Tony Poyner of Sikeston, Missouri also had an amount of methamphtamine in his possession when arrested. He was charged with possession in a correctional facility and possession of a controlled substance.
