Gary Towler sentenced to 120 days plus restitution

METROPOLIS, Ill. - A judge sentenced Gary Towler to 120 days in jail and ordered him to pay more than $62,000 in restitution.

Towler pleaded guilty in May to charges stemming from his handling of funds at Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

A court-appointed receivership is now operating Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
