Graves couple charged in multiple burglaries, thefts

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. - Graves County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a husband and wife on burglary and theft charges related to crimes covering several months.

38-year-old Tracy Howard and 42-year-old Brian Howard, both of Bell City, Ky. were arrested. The burglaries and thefts have been occurring since early August, but a recent tip helped in the investigation.

Sheriff Dewayne Redmon says his office received a call from a victim who told officers he had hidden a trail camera on his property, and had images of the theft occuring. After reviewing the images, deputies determined the identities of the suspects.

When interviewed, the Howards admitted to the crime, and later admitted to other thefts over the past few months.

Both Howards are charged with two counts of burglary and three counts of unlawful taking over $500.

Deputies also charged Tracy Howard with possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, and operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license.

Redmon says the case is still under invstigation, and he expects at least one additional arrest.
