Web Editor - Michael Vick

PADUCAH - A local clinic aimed at helping those battle HIV and AIDS is now under new direction.

After months with an interim director, Paducah's Heartland Cares announced today they are moving forward by hiring a new director.

Sue Moore Fenske, a woman with ties to Paducah and nearly 20 years experience, accepted the position Wednesday evening.

She's currently working at a graduate institute in Fresno, California, and those at the clinic say she can't get here fast enough.

"People were very excited about the candidate that's been hired," said Carl LeBuhn of Heartland Cares. "They felt that her personality, her skills and what she brings to the table will be a wonderful asset to the clinic."

Fenske will move to Paducah August 9 and begin at Heartland Cares September 1.
