Henderson, Ky. Powerball ticket worth $1 million

LOUSIVILLE - A ticket sold in Henderson, Ky.  for the May 9 Powerball drawing matched the five white balls drawn but not the Powerball, winning the game’s second prize of $1,000,000.

The winning ticket will have these white ball winning numbers: 1 – 7 – 11 – 55 – 56

The ticket was sold at the E-Z Shop #3, located at 301 US Hwy 41 S in Henderson.

According to the Kentucky Lottery’s Vice President of Communications Chip Polston, the winner will need to sign the back of their ticket and bring it to the lottery’s Louisville headquarters to claim their prize.

“We’ve seen a really nice stretch of winners of this second prize in Powerball recently,” Polston said. In the previous Powerball drawing on Saturday, two tickets sold in Kentucky won the million dollar second prize. “One of those players chose the additional $1 Power Play option when they bought their ticket, and yesterday they claimed their prize of $2 million,” he said.
