WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill.  New details in an investigation at the Williamson County, Illinois Circuit Clerk's Office.

The Illinois Attorney General has been appointed special prosecutor in the case.

Circuit Clerk spokesman Stuart Hall says three employees have been terminated, but would not say why.

A source within county government tells Local 6 it has to do with money missing out of a fine and fee account.

The names of those employees have not been released.

No charges have been filed.
