MURRAY, Ky. (AP) - A Tennessee man will find out his trial date on charges he ran down a woman in southwestern Kentucky.
Calloway Circuit Judge Dennis Foust says after an Oct. 29 hearing in the case of 56-year-old James Paul Cook of McLemoresville, Tenn., he'll decide when to call a jury.
Cook is charged with murder in the Oct. 4, 2012 death of 37-year-old Desiree Moore of Puryear, Tenn. Police allege he ran over Moore twice with a van he was driving near a driveway along Wildcat Drive in eastern Calloway County.
The Murray Ledger & Times reported that Cook's trial had been set to start Tuesday, but was postponed.
