MURRAY, Ky. - A southwestern Kentucky judge is weighing whether to reduce the bond for two people charged with setting a fatal fire in Hazel earlier this year.
The Murray Ledger & Times reported that Calloway Circuit Judge Dennis Foust is expected to rule soon in the case of 43-year-old Roger Dale Earnest and 39-year-old Hughron Christopher Payne, both of Murray. The two men are charged with murder after a fire claimed the life of 32-year-old Patricia Bohne on June 12 inside a mobile home.
Earnest and Payne are seeking reductions to bonds of $100,000 in the case.
Both men have pleaded not guilty to murder and arson and other charges.
The case is set for trial in May 2014.
