Police: 2 dead in 3-vehicle Oak Grove, Kentucky Crash

UPDATE (5:52pm):  Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials say all lanes of I-24 are open following a deadly crash earlier in the day.

UPDATE:  OAK GROVE, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky State Police say two people are dead after a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 24 near the Kentucky-Tennessee line.
Police say the crash occurred Friday on eastbound I-24 near Oak Grove and involved a rental truck and two other vehicles. One person was pronounced dead at the scene and another died later.
Police say two others were transported for treatment.
Identities have not been released.

Much of the highway, east- and westbound, was closed for a short time.

UPDATE (2:27pm):  Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials say westbound lanes are open.  Eastbound traffic has one lane open.

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. - Both eastbound lanes are closed and one westbound lane is closed on Interstate 24 in Christian County after a crash.

The Kentucky State Police say several vehicles are involved and at least one person is dead while three others have been hospitalized.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is setting up a detour.
