PADUCAH, Ky. -  Kentucky's only astronaut landed in Paducah Thursday night to celebrate 10 years of the Challenger Learning Center.

Col. Terry Wilcutt spoke at West Kentucky Community and Technical College, then attended an open house at the Challenger Learning Center.   Local 6 Chief Meteorologist Jennifer Rukavina was the emcee.

Wilcutt signed a few autographs and said that everywhere he goes, people want to know what it feels like to be in space, floating weightlessly.

Col. Wilcutt was a part of four space shuttle flights.  He said the greatest thing about the Challenger Learning Center is that it gets kids inspired to look at careers in math and engineering.
