"Legends" fundraiser for Alzheimer's Association to be hosted by Emeritus at Paducah Senior Living

PADUCAH, Ky. - More than five million people in America have Alzheimer's Disease.

Every 68 seconds someone develops this debilitating disease which seriously affects a person's ability to carry out daily activities.  At this point there is no known cure.

Last year 476 teams of Emeritius Senior Living communities raised a quarter of a millions dollars, and this year the goal is even greater.

Emeritus at Paducah is planning an event called "Legends" on August 23 at Walker Hall.  The hall is located at 229 Madison Street.

It will start at 6 p.m.  Tickets are $50 for individuals and premier tables of eight may be reserved for $500.

"Legends" will feature the Douglas P. Orchestra and local singers Victoria Parrish and Deena Kuntz.  Also performing will be Emeritus of Paducah's Al Knudsen.

All proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer's Association and the Maiden Alley Movie Theatre.
