PADUCAH, Ky. - It's not about writing tickets, it's about increasing awareness and saving lives. That's what members of law enforcement say is behind this weekend's "Click It or Ticket" campaign.

Local police, sheriff's departments and state troopers gathered at Paducah's Whitehaven Welcome Center to promote the campaign Tuesday.

Agencies across the nation are stepping up enforcement through Memorial Day weekend, making sure you're wearing a seat belt.

Officials say if they find you unbuckled, expect a ticket.
