Local postal facility to shut down

PADUCAH — The United States Postal Service has decided to close the Paducah distribution center.

The president of the local American Postal Workers Union, Jerry McKinney, estimated about 35 jobs will be lost.

McKinney said operations will be moved to Evansville, Indiana.

He believes the center will close in the fall.
