Man allegedly steals jewelry, coins from home

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. - He allegedly stole more than $3,800 worth of jewelry and coins from a McCracken County, Kentucky home.  Now, investigators tell Local 6 they arrested the man this week.

20-year-old Joseph Fossett faces a charge of theft by unlawful taking over $500.

In late April, McCracken County Sheriff's Department detectives began investigating the theft of gold jewelry and coins from a home on Contest Road.  During the investigation, detectives developed Fossett as a person of interest in the case.  This, after investigators learned he sold some of the jewelry to Easy money Express.

A covert recording conducted by detectives caught Fossett confessing to stealing the items from the Contest Road home.

They confronted Fossett and got a second cofession.

After his arrest, detectives took him to McCracken County Regional Jail.
