Man arrested for DUI and trafficking a controlled substance
GRAVES Co, Ky - A man driving in the wrong lane was arrested for DUI and trafficking a controlled substance during a traffic stop on KY348 West in Symsonia.
Chad Whitis, 30, was driving in the wrong lane when he was pulled over and the deputy smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle.
Whitis was arrested for DUI after a field sobriety test.
While searching the vehicle, the deputy found 79 hydrocodone pain pills with a large sum of money, suspected to be proceeds from trafficking the pills.
Whitis is charged with Trafficking a controlled substance, Possession of marijuana, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Moving violations; and is held in the Graves County Jail.
