Man arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of marijuana

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. - A man in Marshall County, Kentucky faces charges for allegedly driving under the influence of marijuana.

On Thursday, sheriff's deputies received several calls about a driving weaving all over US 68 East.  Deputies headed that way, found the vehicle and stopped it.

When they talked to the driver, deputies say they smelled burning marijuana.  They performed field sobriety tests, which they say the 39-year-old driver, Richard Duncan of Kevil, failed.

They arrested Duncan and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence, Failure to Produce Insurance Card, Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

A passenger in the car, 42-year-old Joann McKinney of Paducah, was cited to court for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
