Man dies in early morning crash
JACKSON COUNTY, Ill. - One man is dead and another is in a St. Louis hospital after an early morning crash in Jackson County, Illinois.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says 33-year-old Ryan Robbins was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado on Chautauqua Road when he left the roadway while rounding a curve, striking several trees.
Robbins was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle's passenger, 33-year-old Joseph Hawk, was removed from the vehicle and flown to a hospital in St. Louis. His condition is unknown.
The crash remains under investigation.
