Man arrested after entering home, holding residents against their will
SALEM, Ky. - A west Kentucky man faces several charges after police say he violated a protective order, then entered a home and held residents against their will.
The Livingston County Sheriff's Department says 26-year-old Ronald Shaw violated an Emergency Protective Order on Saturday. Deputies say he fled on foot when the victim called 911.
Deputies later received a tip that Shaw had entered a home on South Hayden Street in Salem and held the home's occupants against their will. Shaw was taken into custody after a struggle with deputies.
Shaw was charged with Violation of an Emergency Protective Order, two counts of Unlawful Imprisonment, Burglary 2nd Degree, Assault 3rd On Police Officer and Resisting Arrest. He was also charged on a warrant for robbery in Crittenden County.
