A man once charged with the murder of a southern Illinois woman might go back on trial six years later.

We're talking about the death of Falon Taylor.

Police say she was killed during a home invasion in 2007.

Elijah Lacy was arrested and charged with the crimes in early 2009.

The charges were thrown out in 2010 when an appellate district court judge ruled that Lacy's right to a speedy trial had been violated.

Now, the Illinois Supreme Court has overturned that ruling, which means years after this all began, Lacy could face a jury trial.
