Marshall County deputies investigating hit-and-run
MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. - Deputies in Marshall County, Kentucky are investigating a hit-and-run crash that damaged a fence and yard.
The Marshall County Sheriff's Office says a 1990s black or dark blue Honda driven by a young male left the roadway on US 68 in Palma and crashed into a fence around 6 a.m. Wednesday.
The driver then went into the yard of 81-year-old Edwin Poe, before hitting Poe's fence again as he left the scene. The sheriff's office says the car came within inches of hitting a gas main.
Deputies add that Poe's fence and yard suffered "considerable damage" as a result of the crash. A witness told deputies that the car, which was approximately a 1993 model, also suffered damage.
