Marshall County man faces several charges after high-speed chase

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. - A Marshall County man faces several charges after police say he stole a car and led deputies on a high speed chase.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office says it received a report of a stolen vehicle around 3 p.m. Tuesday. A deputy found the car on US 68 West heading toward Draffenville. When the deputy turned on his blue lights, the driver of the stolen vehicle sped away.

The suspect led deputies to the Marshall County soccer fields and fled on foot. A deputy found the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Michael Glover, of Benton, in a creek and took him into custody.

The sheriff's office says Glover, who had a suspended license, admitted to stealing the vehicle. Glover was charged with Theft By Unlawful Taking-Auto, Fleeing or Evading Police, Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, Driving DUI Suspended and Operating on a Suspended or Revoked Operators License. He was taken to the Marshall County Detention Center.
