McCracken drug busts lead to charges for seven
PADUCAH - A two-day drug sweep netted seven individuals in McCracken County this week.
Over the past two days, McCracken County Sheriff's Deputies charged seven different individuals with drug related offenses. Deputies began these investigations after receiving various tips or complaints of alleged drug activity occurring at different McCracken County residences.
On Wednesday about 2:30 p.m., detectives conducted a search of 107 Grogan Circle, home of Robin Hoppauir, 47, and 48-year-old Henry Hall. During a search of the residence, deputies seized marijuana, synthetic marijuana, assorted items of drug paraphernalia, doses of Valium and Xanax. Both Hoppauir and Hall were cited for drug offenses.
On Thursday at approximately 7 a.m., Sheriff's Deputies conducted searches of three different apartments in the Lone Oak area of McCracken County. Two of these of apartment were located on Barcelona Court and one on Glenn Street. Deputies seized marijuana, assorted drug paraphernalia along with doses of Hydrocodone. Four individuals--Tina L. Bohanon, 45; Latoya E. Busby, 27; Tasha L. Elks, 26; Malcolm D. Busby, 24--were charged with drug offenses as a result of the searches.
Deputies also located and arrested 41-year-old Dexter Purnell--who was wanted out of Harris County, Texas for an indictment warrant alleging that he possessed between 50-2000 lbs of marijuana in an apartment on Barcelona Court.
