More human remains found near Madisonville creek
MADISONVILLE, Ky. - The Hopkins County Sheriff's Office says more human remains have been found near a creek in Madisonville.
The remains were located by a crew from the Hopkins County Road Department as workers were repairing the creek from excavations done during previous searches.
The discovery comes a few weeks after remains were found in the same area near Continental Drive on July 1. At the time, Hopkins County Sheriff Frank Latham said officials were investigating whether the remains belonged to 42-year-old Rodney "Bo" Hale of Nebo, who was last seen near Madisonville more than two years ago doing construction work.
Officers arrived on the scene and recovered the remains, then turned them over the the Hopkins County Coroner's Office. From there, they were delivered to the Kentucky Medical Examiner's Office.
