MURRAY, Ky. - The Murray State University Board of Regents again voted not to renew President Randy Dunn's contract at a meeting Friday morning.

The board voted 7-4 against the renewal of Dunn's contract.

The board originally voted not to renew Dunn's contract at a meeting in March. That vote was met with much controversy from faculty, staff and others.

Board Chairman Constantine Curris said Tuesday the re-vote was in response to questions regarding whether that decision was "hastily made."

Dunn's contract is set to expire on June 30, 2014.

During their March meeting, board members voted not to extend the president's contract beyond June 30, 2014. The vote came after a social gathering earlier in the week by some board members. That raised some concern amongst faculty, staff and others.
