NOAA Weather Radio Issues

Meteorologist Kyle Mounce

NOAA Weather radio transmitters are experiencing technical issues in SEMO & southern Illinois.  This may cause your weather radio to not go off for alerts, in these areas.  There have also been reports of a weak weather radio signal across Arkansas, which may impact weather radios in NW Tennessee.  There could also be some delays, when it comes to radar data updates.  Transmitters are working across west Kentucky.  The National Weather Service believes the outage is due to a major line cut, and are working to resolve the issue.

Now is a great time to make sure you have a back up source for information.
