NWS fixes problem with weather warning system

A problem with weather warnings Tuesday morning has been fixed.

When storms moved through the area overnight, warnings from the National Weather Service set off weather radios, but not computer systems, which media and emergency managers use to retrieve warnings.

Rick Shanklin with NWS says the program affected a considerable part of the country.

Shanklin adds everything is back up and working, but adds this is just another reason why people should have more than one way to find out about warnings.
