One person injured, one person arrested in early morning shooting

CARBONDALE, Ill. — Police are investigating a shooting in the 800 block of East Grand Avenue in Carbondale around 3:00a.m. Saturday. 

Investigators said they found one person with a single gunshot wound when arriving to the scene.  The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated with non-life threatening injuries.  
 
According to police a suspect was identified and arrested but investigators are not releasing any more information on that individual or the specific charges.  
 
The investigation continues and more information will follow.  People with information are asked to contact the Carbondale Police Department or call 549-COPS (2677) where callers can remain anonymous.
