Paducah man faces drug charges in Massac County, Illinois

MASSAC COUNTY, Ill. - A Paducah man faces drug charges in Massac County, Illinois after investigators say he was selling drugs via text message.

The Massac County Sheriff's Department says 34-year-old Adam Kennedy was arrested after he met with an undercover deputy in Metropolis. Investigator Chad Kaylor says the investigation began after the sheriff's department received a tip from someone complaining that a person was sending text messages in an attempt to sell drugs.

Deputies also found cocaine in Kennedy's position after making the arrest. Kennedy is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, and additional charges are pending. He is in the Massac County Detention Center.
