PADUCAH, Ky. - Paducah Mayor Gayle Kaler says the PACRO Administration Contract Negotiation Committee plans to recommend that Paducah Economic Development (PED) take over operations of PACRO.

Committee members went into closed session during a meeting Wednesday to hear proposals from PED and the McCracken County Fiscal Court. Both entities had expressed interest in running PACRO, which stands for Paducah Area Community Reuse Organization.

The organization is charged with lessening the impact of the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant's closure.

PACRO's Executive Committee plans to meet at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
