After six years as head coach at Paducah Tilghman, Randy Wyatt has resigned. Wyatt told us tonight it was simply time to turn the program over. Wyatt called this a tough decision, but said it was 110% his decision.
The Tilghman alum said there was no particular reason he was leaving, but that sometimes you just know it's time to move on.
"This program helped raise me," Wyatt said by telephone Tuesday night. "Walking away from the program that helped raise me is very difficult."
Calls to Paducah Tilghman principal Art Davis were not returned, so there is not word yet on what direction the coaching search will take.
Wyatt says he will remain on as track coach at Paducah Tilghman.
