Paducah VFW post to reopen this weekend
PADUCAH, Ky. - After hours of labor and lots of donations, Paducah's Veterans of Foreign Wars post will reopen this weekend.
The building suffered about $70,000 worth of damage in June after severe weather damaged its roof.
The day before the damage occurred, construction had begun to replace the roof that was in need of repair.
The water damaged chairs, pool tables and electronics. Paperwork and old plaques were also destroyed.
According to the Paducah Sun, the post on Washington Street will celebrate with a grand reopening at 3 p.m. Saturday.
