Paducah man arrested after chase
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. - A Paducah man faces charges after leading deputies on a chase shortly after midnight on Monday.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says deputies tried to pull over a 2006 maroon Dodge Charger that was leaving the area of a reported crime. The driver, 19-year-old Eric McKinney, Jr., refused to stop and fled the scene.
McKinney was arrested a short time later and charged with Fleeing and Evading 1st Degree, Disregarding Traffic Control Device, two counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree (Police Officer) and Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance. He is in the McCracken County Jail.
The Paducah Police Department assisted McCracken County deputies at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
