Paducah Police say the incident happened Tuesday afternoon near the parking lot of Paducah Tilghman High School. A bicycle ridden by 61-year-old Wendell Alexander hit the driver's side of a 2007 Ford Mustang driven by 59-year-old Martha Hinson.

A witness told police Alexander was riding through the school's parking lot and did not yield to Hinson's car when he tried to pull onto South 24th Street.

Alexander was taken to Baptist Health Paducah and admitted to the ICU. His condition is not known.

Paducah Police are reconstructing the crash.
