Paducah woman arrested after stealing delivered anxiety medication
PADUCAH, Ky - A woman was arrested and charged after an investigation of stolen anxiety medication that was to be delivered to a home.
Heather Crockett, 28 of Guthrie Avenue was arrested Wednesday after a grand jury indicted her on a charge of theft of a controlled substance.
The Paducah Police Department was contacted January 21st after a woman to whom a Lorzaepam prescription was to be delivered, contacted a local pharmacy saying she had not yet received her medication.
The delivery driver said he had delivered the medication to a woman who had been leaving the address of the home and was able to identified herself as the proper resident.
An investigation was launched and found Heather Crockett to be the primary suspect.
Evidence was presented to a grand jury which indicted Crockett, and authorities were able to arrest Crockett and book her into the McCracken County Regional Jail Wednesday, February 12th.
