MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. — One person is dead in Marshall County after a vehicle struck a pedestrian early Thursday morning.

61-year-old Archie T. Griggs, of Calvert City, was walking in the travel portion of the southbound lane on Griggstown Road, when 26-year-old Kyle T. Clark, of Calvert City, came around the curve at the Sayler Creek Road intersection and struck Griggs.

According to Marshall County authorities, Clark did not see Griggs walking in the roadway. Griggs was pronounced dead at the scene by Marshall County Coroner.

No charges have been filed at this time.
