PADUCAH - $700,000 toward fighting childhood cancer, a one in 7,000 chance and a brand new home: It all added up to a sold out dream home giveaway. This year, Tony Veltri of Paducah had the lucky ticket.

He is now the owner of the 2013 Saint Jude dream home.

One $100 ticket for the Saint Jude dream home landed Veltri a brand new address to a brand new house.

Veltri said "Very lucky, but that's all it takes to win. Today was Veltri's first time touring the Saint Jude dream home and he said it already feels like home.

Veltri said he buys a ticket for the dream home every year, but he never expected to hear his name on the news, let alone a phone call from local 6 this afternoon.

"This is my week. I'm so glad in a way and it kind of fits in. I have a stepdaughter that's going to Concord," said Veltri.

His 7-year-old stepdaughter Madelynn has big plans for the new dream home. "I'm going to ask him to have the master bedroom" said Madelynn.

Veltri said the house is built perfectly, just like a dream.

"Shock. This is beautiful. I like the columns, it's got a Mediterranean look so that's a plus," said Veltri.

For now, his plans for the new dream home are still up in the air. "Right now I'm thinking about moving in. It's pretty early to say that. During the week maybe I'm sure that I"ll be able to see it again," said Veltri.

He said his stomach is still in knots over the excitement.

Veltri said, "I was shocked. It's just like a dream house, it's a dream, I guess. I never thought that I would win. It was one of those things, it was a good cause."

A good cause that he said he will continue to support.

After eight Saint Jude dream home giveaway's, with your help, Local 6 has raised about 5.5 million dollars. Also, to note, if you were selected as a winner of any other prizes, someone will be in touch with you this week.
